Now Hiring! Assistant Professor of Mathematics & Statistics

Job Duties: Instruct three mathematics & statistics courses per semester, spanning both undergraduate and graduate levels. Teach a range of topics including basic calculus, introductory statistics, and advanced statistics/data analytics. Advise mathematics major students. Conduct independent research in collaboration with other universities, focusing on clinical trials and data science. Lead research projects with strong potential for external funding opportunities. Conduct high-quality academic research. Develop testing methods to check the efficacy of newly developed drugs based on real clinical trial datasets. Apply advanced machine learning methods in analyzing big data. Teach statistics or related coursework at college or university. Teach introductory, upper undergraduate, and graduate level classes. Perform research related to statistics, data analytics, and financial mathematics. Utilize statistical analysis tools including R and SAS. Utilize data analysis tools such as SQL.

Requirements: Ph.D in Statistics or closely related field and one (1) year of experience in position offered or related position including experience teaching statistics or related coursework at college or university; teaching introductory, upper-undergraduate, and graduate level classes; performing research related to statistics, data analytics, and financial mathematics. Must also have experience utilizing statistical analysis tools including R and SAS, as well as data analysis tools such as SQL.

Compensation and Benefits: $57,000.00

Benefits are available the first of the month after the full-time faculty’s date of hire and include – health, dental and vision insurance, life and long-term disability insurance, and retirement plan enrollment is available to full-time faculty with contribution from the University after one year. One year waiting period may be waived provided the person was employed in higher education for at least one-year full time within three years prior to hire date. University contribution would not begin until proof of prior service is received. Tuition benefits are also available for full-time faculty and their qualified dependents.
